NBA announces 2026 NBA Cup group play schedule

The NBA announced each team’s four group-stage games for the 2026 NBA Cup, with all Cup games counting toward regular-season standings. Eight teams will reach the quarterfinals: every group winner plus the top second-place finisher from each conference. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Dec. 4 and Dec. 5, semifinals for Dec. 8 and/or Dec. 9, and the NBA Cup final will be played on Dec. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Philadelphia 76ers are in Eastern Conference Group B and will face the New York Knicks on opening night, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks enter as the defending champions of both the NBA Cup and the NBA title. The league will release the full 2026-27 schedule on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
