Gravel Influencer21Haven't seen this reported yet, but according to this reddit user, Portuguese TV said the driver was leaving their house. If so, this is a huge failure of the police and race organizers in managing a rolling road closure.

jsliacan.bsky.social2When a driver smashed through marshals at Swedish nationals (all jumped to the side, not hurt) and drove into closed off race route, police refused to investigate. Had license plate, witnesses, etc. We carefully orchestrate these tragedies to happen, they are effectively premeditated.

Jim Thompson2This is so f*cked up. Looks like he was killed by a driver in a car during a race. I've been riding more outdoors for tri training and after a couple of road rides with near misses I'm done. Running is bad enough. It's messed up, but I drive to a trail, unpack my bike, and then go.
