I enjoyed the premiere of Lanterns, the down-to-earth new superhero show from a team of genre boldfaces starring a cast of gorgeous and charismatic people. Provided you don't have a principled objection to cosmic-rainbow superheroes in earth tones, and I understand if you do, it's a solid hang.

One thing I really like about Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan in LANTERNS is that this guy really feels like a test pilot. Not the 1950s propaganda version but the kind of guy that Tom Wolfe captured in THE RIGHT STUFF.

Watched the first episode of #Lanterns. I'm FULLY on board already. I LOVE the atmosphere/vibes of this show so far. I love, love the chemistry between John Stewart and Hal Jordan a lot. There's a crazy mystery that I'm excited to see unfold! An awesome 1st episode 💚

I mean ... It's Hal Jordan ... the man has gone evil, massacred thousands, kicked off company wide events AS THE BAD GUY, died and come back at LEAST once, and even when he's a good guy is usually ... a bit of a jerk. What aspect don't they like?

The first episode of #Lanterns was really good. Proof that superhero TV can be worthy of that HBO 9 PM Sunday night time slot.

LANTERNS episode 1: A bit jarring in style but eventually works. The clear arc of Hal getting increasingly jaded and abrasive over time works. Aaron Pierre is perfect as John. Very weird seeing a location near where I work/the exterior for Paddy's Pub double for Coast City.
