In a mistake I won't make again, I initially glanced over an image in Spider-Man: Brand New Day - The Art of the Movie, but after speaking with multiple artists, in my opinion it looks like it was made using AI. I updated my review to reflect this and will be very cautious with future books! 1/2

Concept art has always been embellished before publishing of art books: it gets tightened up, cropped or rendered. But now generative image models are added to the mix. 🫠
I have zero to no tolerance for when it comes to generative AI garbage infesting movies, shows, etc. But now it’s happening to movies like Brand New Day and Supergirl. My policy is to not to make excuses for anyone who uses AI like that but now I’m at an impasse. Idk if I’m overthinking things…

That's the biggest sphere most vulnerable to be taken over by AI art because studios don't seem to care to pay real artists for it and not a whole lot of people seem to have an idea about it.
