Electronic Arts and Bit Reactor, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, released Star Wars Zero Company today on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Zero Company is a squad-based tactical strategy game set at the end of the Clone Wars, around the events of Revenge of the Sith, and follows former Republic officer Hawks as players recruit an elite squad to stop a shadowy cult called the Infinite Coil. Squads can include original Star Wars characters and customizable recruits with distinct appearances, loadouts, and abilities; archetypes listed by the studio include scoundrels, force-wielders, and droids, and squadmates build bonds through missions that unlock new synergies. Bit Reactor comprises many former XCOM developers and the studio says the game shares much of XCOM’s tactical DNA. Greg Foertsch, Game Director and CEO of Bit Reactor, said the team is proud of the launch and eager to see what players forge through their choices and playstyle. The game is rated T for Teen and a Digital Deluxe Edition adds Clone Wars, era cosmetic packs.
