US economy adds 162,000 jobs in August, topping forecasts
pity poor Kevin Warsh. Trump thinks a stronger-than-expected jobs report means interest rates will fall. markets know it means the opposite
Bar chart above shows how likely markets think different rate outcomes are at the September Fed meeting. Dark blue bars are where odds are now: 60% chance of hike. One shade lighter shows what the odds were yesterday, before jobs report came out (49% chance of hike) www.cmegroup.com/markets/inte...
Props to him for being so very committed to being unable to understand or learn anything. His ignorance is a masterpiece, never to be exceeded.
A report from a completely compromised BLS that has had *substantial* revisions this year.
Does anybody have faith in the recent jobs report from this administration this close to the midterms with a looming interest hike likely this month ? I don't , this administration does not get any benefit of the doubt.
OMG. Wharton should revoke his degree.
How Trump bankrupted his casinos.
Breathing a small sigh of relief about the jobs report. It's just one month, Trump was totally messed up the economy the last two years, but at least something is holding on for now.
If you trust those numbers.
How do we know the Trump regime isn’t cooking up the books and reporting false numbers? They lie about everything else.
Until they revise the jobs report after the midterms.
Who is left at DOL to produce reliable numbers, though? Because we could totally have a revision of these numbers by October, or after the midterms…
Certainly not juicing the numbers and market heading into Labor Day. This admin would never do such a thing
Until the numbers get revised down in a month-or-so, like has happened every other month under Trump.
The latest US jobs report came in significantly stronger than expected across both sides of the labor market: demand and supply. Specifically: Job Creation: Nonfarm payrolls surged from an upwardly revised 21,000 to ... 1 of 3
... while average hourly earnings rose 0.3% month-over-month, matching expectations. Together, these indicators point to a US labor market that remains robust with firm demand and is stabilization on the supply side. #economy #jobs #earnings #employment #unemployment 3 of 3
... 162,000, roughly three times the consensus forecast. Labor Supply: The labor force participation rate rose from 61.4% to 61.6%, beating expectations and marking its strongest level in nearly a year. Other Key Indicators: The unemployment rate held steady at 4.1%,... 2 of 3.
I’m sorry, but I can no longer believe numbers from this regime. If they are openly cooking the measles numbers, why aren’t they cooking these numbers?
I’m skeptical of this Trump Regime data..
Nonfarm going from a 21k revision base to 162k isn’t the same labor market showing up twice, it’s the base that got quietly rewritten first. Supply finally showing up rather than demand pulling harder🧐
Yeah let’s look at these jobs. Restaurants and Bars: Added 59,000 jobs.Local Government Education: Added 42,000 jobs.Manufacturing: Added 16,000 jobs.Information Sector: Lost 23,000 jobs Bars and Restaurants? 😂 Then on the taxpayers nickel 42K jobs. 😂Manufacturing only 16000, followed by a lost.
The US added 162,000 jobs in August, far exceeding estimates, as the unemployment rate held steady. Follow our coverage for live updates
Biden did this and then some for like 3 years straight and you guys were never this effusive
Who can believe these stats any more ?
Effusive over fake numbers that will be drastically revised down (as always) next month. Going for the dopamine hit.
Probably will be revised down in the coming month or so once the real numbers emerge.
Those numbers are actually pretty terrible considering companies should be filling empty slots before the new year.
This would be good except for the fact that President Biden averaged 400,000 a Month.
U.S. employers added 162,000 jobs in August, significantly beating economists’ expectations.
Ain’t no one believing this
Remember when he fired the person who reported numbers he didn't like?
One has suspicions about the validity of the report. It's unlikely that there were that many jobs. Overshooting economist expectations is suspicious. I call it a fake.
Trump is cookin' the books. Again.
Stagflation. I can make up employment numbers too.
Funny, so by rehiring the people he previously fired.
162K job grown in Aug is more than double the expectation for the month, increasing the chances for a rate hike and making the markets a little nervous. It's surprising that it was that high as staffing saw some growth but not that high so expect a revision down. www.cnbc.com/2026/09/03/s... #jobs
Yeah, I don’t buy that number one bit
Considering the previous job reports numbers, Jan-Dec 25 11 months revised down from initial report, and 1 up. Jan 26-July 26, Jan held steady, and July was up. The other 5 months down. So out of 19 months, 16 of them went down afterwards.
During the Biden Admin - the US created an average of 329,000 jobs per month. During the current Trump Misadmin - the US is creating an average of 37,000 jobs per month. It's almost laughable.
