Katie Taylor outclassed Flora Pili by unanimous decision at Croke Park to end her career as a three-time undisputed world champion. The 40-year-old won by judges' scores of 100-90, 100-90 and 98-91 in front of about 80,000 people and added the vacant WBC belt to her WBA, WBO and IBF light-welterweight titles. Taylor used the footwork, speed and pressure that defined her career to dominate the previously unbeaten 29-year-old Pili. Promoter Eddie Hearn called Taylor "Ireland's greatest sportsperson" before she took a final ring lap, placed her gloves and belts in the centre of the canvas and left the ring. Taylor, an Olympic champion and two-weight world champion who turned professional in 2016, finishes with a record of 26 wins and one defeat. The night featured a large celebratory programme including performances by Westlife and a crowd heavy with Irish national symbols.
