Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave traces key mechanics to Echoes

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is hitting the spotlight ahead of its September 17 release, and Polygon’s piece tracing the game’s turn-rewind and dungeon-crawl systems back to Echoes: Shadows of Valentia has become the framing for fans. Conversations and artwork zero in on those mechanics while also orbiting specific characters: Nuzzuo, whose voice actor recently announced their role, and Anatolia, whose bridal reveal led someone to joke about Tharja suddenly wielding a gun. Creators are celebrating series continuity with finished character portraits and playful callbacks to the 3DS era as they count down to launch.
