Canada marks Labour Day as unions renew push for worker rights
Monday is Labour Day in Canada. A statutory holiday since 1894 thanks to unions. It started with striking workers in Toronto in 1872. Remember the strength of collective action. Whether strikes, or boycotts, or cooperatives, working together is the way to rights, protections, and dignity.
