Dragon Con 2026 wraps up, attendees post highlights

Dragon Con 2026 closed over the Labor Day weekend in Atlanta with panels, vendor booths and heavy cosplay activity. Attendees reported packed programming including a Sci-Fi Explosion show, a Doctor Strange and Star Trek photoshoot, and a Dungeon Crawler Carl photoshoot that one attendee called "INSANE." A Silent Hill full-run and raw gameplay footage were recorded for later release, and the Deadlock cosplay meetup grew from six participants last year to over 70 this year. Vendors and organizers staffed a Catalyst Booth on the fourth floor of AmericasMart and thanked visitors as the con wound down. Several guests noted celebrity interactions, including a brief exchange with Kat Barrell, while other posts praised first-time furries, family reunions, and long-time fans who said Dragon Con inspired their own programming work. Some attendees flagged safety concerns after encountering belligerent, heavily drinking costumed attendees during panels.
