Star Trek Day, 60th anniversary tributes and tie‑ins

Star Trek Day marked the franchise's 60th anniversary and kicked off a wave of tributes sparked by a new Le Creuset Star Trek collaboration that even included Vulcan oven mitts and a shuttlepod baking dish sent into space. Creators and longtime contributors celebrated concrete career moments, including someone remembering the first episode they worked on for Star Trek: Lower Decks airing three years ago and others honoring characters like Saru and Dougie. Many posts centered on shows and figures across the franchise, from Lower Decks turning casual viewers into full Trekkies to shout outs for Kirk, Uhura, Boimler, and Tilly, plus fans quoting Jean-Luc Picard. Artists leaned into the anniversary with retro comic, style tributes and character-focused pieces celebrating six decades of exploration and hope.
