Here's the first of two little things I've made to celebrate 60 years of a television show that became more television shows (plus some movies) and sometimes dropped some nuggets of actual wisdom. Happy #StarTrekDay to all who celebrate. 🖖

A recreation of a classic poster that reads: All I need to know about life I learned from Star Trek Below that is an illustration of the original series Enterprise. And below that is a justified list of quotes and aphorisms divided by delta bullet points. The list reads: • Seek out new life and new civilizations • Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end • There’s no such thing as a Vulcan death grip • Even in fear, you can still step forward • It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. 'Star Trek' made its NBC debut on this day in 1966. #StarTrek60

The Edward Ardizzone illustrated cover for Clive King's "Stig of the Dump" showing Stig and the lad who befriends him hanging out in the bushes at the local tip. The kid is now wearing a yellow Starfleet uniform and looks a bit like a young Kirk, while Stig is dressed in a blue Starfleet uniform and is clutching his spear.
