Roger Marshall Sued 700 Patients; 81 Were Arrested, NYT Reports
"this republican politician is a total piece of shit" is like a dog bites man story at this point www.nytimes.com/2026/09/08/u...
Still remains incredible that Rick Scott being the perpetrator of the single largest Medicare fraud in American history got absolutely no attention and made absolutely no difference to his ascent to the highest offices in *Florida* of all places.
It’s almost as if this party attracts garbage people like flies to a corpse.
People who only read the headline should know Roger Marshall was an OBGYN. His patients were pregnant women and new mothers.
Suing your patients who make $50,000 per year, when you make $500,000+ per year, is a choice.
how much did Roger Marshall pay lawyers to try to squeeze blood from a stone? "Some facing lawsuits were new mothers with outstanding bills from their deliveries. Most lived in Barton County, a rural area with above-average uninsured and poverty rates."
A total POS. He attached his name to MAGA and Trump and red Kansas loved him.. they don’t really know why but he’s red and he loves him some trump. Kansas is better than this clown.
“The Times interviewed 8 people Mr. Marshall sued between 2003 &2015. Most described themselves as living paycheck to paycheck, often deciding between paying medical bills or buying groceries. Two said that the bills Mr. Marshall pursued in court stemmed from late miscarriages that required surgery”
“Ms. Zimmerman is among 81 patients whose court records indicate that an arrest occurred. Their debts ranged from $114 to $4,683. In some cases, efforts to collect a debt would continue for over a decade and lasted into Mr. Marshall’s congressional career.”
Is Sen. Marshall "working for the people?" I think not.
Reminder: Doctors are second only to nurses in the extent to which Americans trust them. Patients aren't looking to screw their health care providers. Of course, everyone needs to make ends meet, but patients being unable to pay medical bills is a tragedy that demands policy change, not lawsuits.
A thoroughly average Republican sociopath who loves to crush the poor under his boot heel.
How about this monstrous creature in human form
The United States is a country that encourages, rewards and extolls exploitation and abuse by any means, but especially through financial vampirism.
