Seahawks QB Sam Darnold ruled out with hip injury; Drew Lock replaces him

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold left the season opener against the New England Patriots on the first series after sustaining a hip injury and was initially listed as questionable to return following just five snaps. The Seahawks later announced Darnold is ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's Week 1 contest. Drew Lock entered the game as Darnold's replacement and will handle the Seahawks' snaps for the rest of the game. The team will evaluate Darnold further after the game.
