Jimmy Kimmel Moves James Talarico Interview Off ABC After FCC Pressure
Jimmy Kimmel says his interview with Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico will NOT air on ABC tonight. Kimmel says Trump’s FCC has threatened him, his show, ABC, its affiliates, and local stations over basic editorial decisions and who they choose to interview.
So rather than put Texas ABC affiliates in the middle of it, Kimmel says the full interview will be posted to YouTube instead. This is where we are now. A candidate interview gets moved off broadcast television because local stations are worried about what the federal government might do next.
Republicans will always fight for freedom of speech when that speech involves calling a minority a slur, but running an interview of a candidate that might beat them, that’s going too far.
By making such a big deal about it, they’ve actually raised awareness and promoted it. Now, many MORE people will know about it and watch it.
The regime is threatening to violate Kimmel’s and ABC’s first amendment rights. They should be sued for their blatantly illegal actions.
This is what fascism looks like.
Didn't this cause a massive upswing in Talarico's approval last time the FCC snubbed one of his interviews so people went online to watch it?
COWARDS..ABC has Censored Jimmy Kimmel's interview with James Talarico Trump is SCARED ABC just a bunch of cowards We can all watch it on YouTube ... Follow and support @jamestalarico.bsky.social BTW Talarico can win !
Maybe Jimmy Kimmel should just take his show online. ABC continues to show why broadcast networks are increasingly becoming irrelevant.
The people who won’t vote for Talarico likely don’t watch Kimmel anyway.
I don't watch ANY legacy news (SEE BS, NBC, ABC, etc.). Youtube and Substack have been my news sources for a few years now along with a couple of international news agencies.
Interesting fact: on Antenna TV, ABC is regularly scrambled, buffering & glitching while all other channels are coming in clear as a bell. Basically, iABC can’t be watched on Antenna TV!! Gee I wonder whether the FCC is harassing ABC? 🤔
Last time they did this the YouTube blew up will probably backfire again
