You're better off playing the DS original as intended via a used game store, borrowing it from a friend, or emulation. The mobile port of the game is the best way to go about it, but it's not worth giving Level 5 your money at this point.

I will say it: All the people crying yesterday over the new OOT Zelda design because it was "AI" are now praising and screaming with the Professor Layton announcement but Level 5 has stated very clearly that 80% of their games are coded and made with generative AI 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Every second during the Level-5 Showcase I was being reminded how Gen-AI-pilled that studio seems now. Each presentation segment in between the games reeked of slop. While the gameplay did look fun for some of these. And then they show a Professor Layton Curious Village Remaster.
