Today’s Nintendo Direct peaked at about 2.1 million viewers and centered on a mix of Switch 2 ports and first-party updates. Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on Switch 2 on December 4 and include all post-launch updates plus local co-op; its major DLC Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is slated for 2027. Final Fantasy VII: Revelation comes to Switch 2 on April 8, 2027, and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered launches on Switch 2 on September 29 with all paid DLC and touchscreen and mouse support. All three Resident Evil remakes are headed to Switch 2 on October 16, and Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight releases on September 18. First-party updates include a Switch 2 definitive edition of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity on February 25 with a new Calamity Mode difficulty, Pikmin 4’s Switch 2 edition on November 12 with new voice commands and Dandori Academy, and a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 edition on December 3 adding a Hero Vault mode and a new playable character named Shimmer. The Direct also teased a Kirby Air Riders in-game event with two new amiibo, confirmed smaller updates such as a free Star Fox update on September 29, and trailers or dates for Professor Layton New World of Steam on December 10 and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on September 17.
