A video titled "God Made Trump" that uses an AI-simulated version of radio broadcaster Paul Harvey's voice was created by a supporters group called the Dilley Meme Team and reposted to former president Donald Trump's Truth Social account on January 5, 2024. The clip opens, "And on June 14, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise, and said, 'I need a caretaker.' So God gave us Trump,'" and proceeds to narrate Trump fighting a "deep state," working 112 hours in one week, and other exaltations. Snopes verified the narration is an artificial-intelligence recreation of Harvey, who died in 2009, and that the video is at least partially inspired by Harvey's 1978 "So God Made a Farmer" speech. The post also appeared on an X account that mirrors Trump's Truth Social posts and was reshared on January 6 by U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and activist Laura Loomer. Snopes notes the video was not an official production of Trump's 2024 campaign. Major news outlets including CNN discussed the clip on television after it circulated online.
