Hey, not to be a wet blanket or anything, but maybe we should all be asking ourselves why all these AI CEOs are speaking out to call for a slowdown only now after their employees went public instead of leading the conversation before now without having their hand forced.

My opinion of billionaire CEOs remains same as it ever was — their only concern is putting $ in their board member's pockets & after that, their own. After employees blow the whistle they begin to pay attention & sometimes act.

You know who could actually do an "AI slowdown"? The CEO of Anthropic. It drives me a bit mad that the AI bros are constantly going "ooh look at the risks of AI, what are you all going to do about it?". Lads, you built it.

But also, it simply couldn’t have copied that mathematicians homework.
