Prince Harry and Meghan pull children from UK school over security

Prince Harry and Meghan changed their children’s school only days after Archie and Lilibet started, citing security concerns about the school run. The couple have not disclosed the schools involved; their private security team was worried that the distance and heavy traffic on the original route made securing the journey difficult. The switch was first reported by HELLO! magazine and confirmed by the BBC, which said Archie is seven and Lilibet is five and both began school earlier this month. The Royal and VIP Executive Committee known as Ravec has reopened a review of the Sussexes’ publicly funded police protection now they are full-time UK residents. Ravec will ask a Risk Management Board to reassess threats to the family and the level of police protection needed, including regular travel routes and school runs. No final decision on protection levels has been reached; the review is the first full assessment for Meghan since the couple left working royal duties in 2020 and follows a separate risk review Prince Harry had earlier in the summer.
