It's the 40-year (!) anniversary of one of the greatest films of the 80s. TRANSFORMERS: The Movie. It's being released in cinemas worldwide. Cannot tell you how many times I have watched this film. I am *totally* going to watch this at the cinema!

Watched the 40th anniversary screening of the Transformers movie today (after almost forgetting I booked tickets last week 💀) I think the 80s soundtrack, the alien all-metal environments, and every time Grimlock or Soundwave were on screen were the best parts, but overall it was a fun enough time

Dropped my youngest off at a concert in Indy this evening, so with some time on my hands I went to a screening of Transformers The Movie. There weren’t that many people in the theater, but I’m pretty sure I heard some sniffling after the Peter Cullen tribute that preceded the feature.

I'm pretty old for a Millennial and I was 2 when The Transformers: The Movie (86) premiered. 81 is the first year Millenials were born so they were 3 when Transformers first aired on TV. Most of us weren't even born yet. Yeah it was in reruns but it looked old and Disney Afternoon and BTAS was on.
