Ukraine's Operation Vivaldi reclaims territory near Lyman
🇺🇦 🪖 AFU liberated new settlements in the north of Donetsk region as part of Operation Vivaldi According to the deputy commander of Third Army Corps, Horbatenko, during the week AFU made new advances, cleared and liberated settlements, the names of which cannot yet be disclosed for tactical reasons.
Theyre on other side of Zherebets, which tells a lot and hints a lot.
Silence on names while the map moves is the loudest part. Third Corps pushing north means the orcs are losing ground they spent months bleeding for.
More evidence that Russia is struggling to contain Ukrainian forces.
Want to read about Operation Vivaldi, the Ukraine counter-offensive that is driving a wedge through Russian forces on the battlefield? “Russian forces have been defeated and disorganised.”
Vivaldi results from drone warfare and maneuver finally syncing up. That wedge isnt just ground, its the orc command chain coming apart at the seams.
They already retaked a lot more but still secret. Rushists say they defeat Ukranian forces... 😂
A strategy for every season.
No wonder Putin looks so desperate.
DeepState has begun gradually revealing Ukrainian advances achieved during Operation Vivaldi on the Lyman axis. So far, around 43 km² of territory has been newly marked as under Ukrainian control, showing part of the Ukrainian operation to cut back the Russian salient north of Lyman.
DeepState looks very slow, and in general, theyre inferior to Project Owl control map : www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...
Every time when in the front zone regions, I visit Sviatohirsk. In 2024 the bridge across the Siversky Donets and many new fortifications were built eastward, and it all looked relatively calm. Then it all went into reverse. I hope Russia will never capture or destroy Sviatohirsk ever again.
OPERATION VIVALDI SECURES 420km2 The Ukrainian operation has been running in secret from early spring through the summer and only now are they admitting the true scale of it. The Russians were pushed back to the Sherevebets river and have completely lost all of the ground west of it. Ukraine now
says that all of the Russian infiltration units west of that point have been eliminated.
The z-bloggers are in apoplexy. It's a good sign. They don't know what's coming next. Chris_owiki reported problems with Russians in Zaporizhzhia too. Big problems, heavily undermanned units being applied to "achieve"impossible objectives.
Ukraine seems to have crossed the river as well. They do not want to dig in at the river, which would make a good defensive position. It seems they expect/hope they may get a breakthrough.
This operation Vivaldi, is the name relevant? Have we just seen their rendition of "Summer"? Is this a rolling wave of operations? The name implies so to me, now that we're in Autumn. Winter is my favourite, difficult to play though.
Ukraine’s Opsec is still very tight! DeepState doesn‘t show the advances (except for a small part around Serednie), not even a push-back of the „grey“ disputed area. I doubt that the AFU has already totally cleared the whole area up to the Sherevebets, nevertheless it‘s a huge gain. Slava Ukraini!
And they now have to find the gear, without their main suppliers and distribution. Nice work Ukraini
