ICE agent shoots and wounds man in Austin

The man ICE shot in Austin today is named Wilber Rafael Garces Perez. Per his lawyer, she and Perez’s family were run off of hospital property where he’s being treated and won’t even confirm he’s there because he’s “in ICE custody.” Actual criminals.

ICE shot a man in Austin today. I’m demanding transparency, accountability, and safety. Release the footage and records. Hold any officer who broke the law responsible. And get ICE out of our city.

The article says he was shot after a “small foot pursuit.” That, to me, says they shot him to keep him from getting away. Can’t download the vid, but the attorney representing the wife of the man shot by ICE in Austin today isn’t being let into the hospital. @Attorneygoldfinch on ig is trying to get the wife in to see her husband and the police are being dicks. Won’t let them in and using quote fingers to be worse.

The ICE shooting in Austin happened in the area I live in (but on the highway). I have no idea what ICE was doing in this extremely white area, full of wealthy people (not me, alas!). All they knew was that they were shooting a man with brown skin.
