Brock Purdy near-perfect as 49ers roll past Dolphins

Brock Purdy completed 15 of 16 passes for about 200 yards, added a rushing touchdown and threw two touchdown passes while posting a near-perfect passer rating as the San Francisco 49ers rolled past the Miami Dolphins. George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and Purdy all scored, and the 49ers led 21-6 in the third quarter. Kittle’s touchdown was his first since tearing his Achilles tendon in last season’s playoffs; he had two catches for 52 yards and looked fully recovered. Miami mounted two long drives but settled for short field goals on both, leaving them unable to keep pace with San Francisco’s scoring. The 49ers’ dominant offensive performance left them in firm control entering the second half.

The 49ers have had trouble taking down Malik Willis, but they recorded back-to-back sacks in forcing the Dolphins' QB out of bounds deep in the red zone. Fred Warner and Romello Height were credited for the sacks, the first of Height's career.
