Government weighs building baseball facility in Grand Teton National Park

Major League Baseball has approached the Trump administration about hosting a game at a national park, and White House and MLB officials confirmed the contact. The administration has scouted locations inside Grand Teton National Park, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity. An agency official visited Grand Teton to evaluate possible sites for a baseball park to host an MLB game. No public decision or formal proposal has been announced and officials described the effort as exploratory.

OK. Huge baseball fan here, and I've also backpacked the Teton Crest Trail. Building a baseball stadium at a national park is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. It's insane that MLB would ask, and worse that the National Park Service would consider Grand Teton.
