Kruk and Kuip's final Giants broadcast celebrated at Oracle Park

Longtime San Francisco Giants broadcasters Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper were honored in an emotional final home broadcast together at Oracle Park on Sept. 26, 2026. Posts from the ballpark and fans described tearful scenes and repeated tributes during what many called their last regular-season broadcast together after 161 of 162 games that season. Supporters posted photos and personal memories, calling the duo the “longest running buddy comedy on TV” and praising their decades of narration; Krukow’s son Wes called him “the Dolly Parton of San Francisco.” Several fans noted the moment felt especially poignant because one member of the pair is battling cancer. Social posts treated the broadcast as required viewing for Giants fans and said it would leave a long gap on Friday nights until the pair return in the future.

I know I have Kruk and Kuip pictures somewhere, but I have no idea which external drive they live on, since they were likely taken multiple computers ago and plugging an old drive in made my computer freak out just now. But I did find these from 2011.

I got back into the #SFGiants when I saw Tim Lincecum pitch on in 2009 and then all the championships & lots of kooky. But looking back, I missed out on 15 years of Kruk & Kuip! But Mike Krukow has been my narrator for the past 17 years. Baseball will go on but it won’t be as hilarious. (2/2)
