Victoria Monét released Frequency of Love on New Music Friday, October 2, with multiple audio uploads and early fan response. Production credits listed D'Mile and/or Camper throughout the project. Monét posted an audio for Lose Myself featuring Chlöe and the track Single features Bryson, both highlighted by early listeners. As part of the roll out Monét organized a chocolate chip cookie truck in Los Angeles and held a listening event at Shuga's. Early reactions ranged from strong praise for the album's interludes and mature tone to some fans saying they would not tune in because of recent controversies around the artist.
