Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract to remain Arsenal manager until 2030, saying the deal is "only the beginning" of the club's success. The new agreement increases his salary from his current £10m per year and includes an additional £5m in bonuses. Arteta, 44, arrived in December 2019 and has already led Arsenal to a Premier League title and an FA Cup, while losing the Champions League final to Paris St Germain in May. BBC Sport reported an improved contract was agreed earlier this month after his previous deal was due to expire at the end of this season. Co-chairmen Stan and Josh Kroenke praised Arteta's understanding of Arsenal's values and committed to building on the progress made since his return in 2019. With the manager tied to a long-term deal, Arsenal keep the continuity that underpinned their recent revitalisation and position Arteta to pursue further trophies and longer tenure at the club.
