Jorge Jesus confirmed he read Cristiano Ronaldo’s lengthy statement and said, "Agora, como faço todo dia, vou trabalhar", now, as I do every day, I will work, when asked about Ronaldo’s allegations. Ronaldo said he and Jesus, plus Ronaldo’s adviser Tiago Craveiro and Al-Nassr sporting director Simão Coutinho, took part in a video meeting after which Ronaldo approved eight written points for Jesus to make at a pre-Denmark press conference. Ronaldo wrote that Jesus did not deliver those points, which he described as a second time Jesus had broken his word, and that he left the Portugal camp after that perceived breach. The eight validated notes listed a proposed seasonal plan for Ronaldo, praised Ronaldo’s 24 years with the national team, said Ronaldo never questioned Jesus’s choices, and stated Jesus wanted Ronaldo in the team and regretted not bringing him on after warming him up in Norway, calling that a mistake. Ronaldo also addressed not greeting fans after the Norway match, calling it a moment of frustration and stressing his long-standing affection for supporters. Jesus did not publicly repeat Ronaldo’s points in the press conference and, after reading Ronaldo’s statement, declined to elaborate beyond saying he would carry on with his work.
