Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca said the club's titles are "absolutely not" tainted after an independent commission found City guilty of the majority of the 115 charges brought by the Premier League. Maresca reiterated he and the playing group "completely trust" the owner, CEO and sporting director and said the club will challenge the ruling on appeal, calling it unsafe in a club statement that accused the commission of "clear material errors, of law, principle and fact." He told reporters his squad are blocking out "the noise" and focusing on the pitch as they prepare to face Liverpool on Sunday, adding Erling Haaland is "ready" to play. The commission found City guilty of sham contracts and misleading accounts as part of a scheme to disguise secret funding of more than £830m, which Maresca said may make the Anfield reception even tougher. Maresca, appointed in June and previously part of City's academy and Pep Guardiola's staff, has won each of his first five Premier League games in charge and said he would have taken the job even if the findings had been published beforehand.
