Apple announced Apple Home Collection, a lineup of smart home accessories co-developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric that includes indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell, and a door lock. Each accessory sets up with one tap using iPhone, is managed entirely through the Apple Home app with Siri control, and uses end-to-end encryption so only chosen users can access Home app data. Apple said the products were designed for a clean, minimal aesthetic and premium materials and built to work as standalone accessories or together as a connected system. Apple also introduced HomeView, a 6-inch square smart home hub priced at $299 that acts as a portable dashboard and integrates with HomeView, HomePod, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K for camera monitoring and home control. Apple framed the Collection as extending Works with Apple Home and Matter compatibility, and said availability for all products begins in December with select accessories available starting early 2027. Apple executives Matthew Costello, Kihyun Jung of LG, and Olivier Blum of Schneider Electric each commented on the collaboration and aims for simplicity, connectivity, and energy-focused climate control respectively.
