The Milwaukee Brewers completed a four-game NLCS sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 6-4 Game 4 win, clinching the National League pennant and reaching the World Series for the first time since 1982. Shohei Ohtani hit a three-run, 428-foot homer in the second inning, but the Dodgers blew a 4-0 lead after Tyler Glasnow allowed back-to-back run-scoring ground-rule doubles in the fourth and exits following a fifth-inning RBI single. Garrett Mitchell hit a go-ahead homer off reliever Tanner Scott in the sixth to put Milwaukee ahead, and David Hamilton added a ninth-inning solo homer off Edwin Díaz to cap the scoring. Milwaukee’s bullpen held Los Angeles scoreless over the late innings, and the final out came into Brewers left fielder Jackson Chourio’s glove. A year after the Dodgers swept Milwaukee in the NLCS, the Brewers returned the sweep and will face the winner of the American League Championship Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians.
