Miguel Rojas announces retirement after NLCS
Miguel Rojas confirmed he has played his last game, he’s retiring and moving into some role with the Dodgers going forward. He’s still wearing his cleats, said it’s going to be very hard to take them off
more Miguel Rojas: “I talked to the guys, it was really emotional after the game. I told them that I’m going to be loyal, I want to stay here. I want to wear this uniform or this logo in a different capacity and continue to make the organization better. But this is it, this is it as a player.”
Who is now the longest tenured Dodger?
At least the home crowd can make their final farewells to him (as a player). But like a Pokémon, he is only evolving!
He was hurt during the 2024 WS and I remember he was constantly standing outside the dugout talking at all the players, pacing, swinging a bat around. I knew then that he'll be a manager eventually.
Rojas goes out a Dodger legend. What a career. He’ll have a job with the team as long as he wants it.
Thank you for everything Miggy. Every Dodger fan owes you a beer 🫡
Still one of the most improbable postseason homers I can recall in my lifetime
Thanks for all the joy you brought us, Miggy. We’ll miss you. 🥺
Thank you Miggy Ro, for a great career and one of the greatest moments in Dodgers and baseball history. Glad you are staying in the organization.
“This is it,” Miguel Rojas told me. He will be retiring.
Miguel Rojas’ cleats feature back-to-back World Series trophies with “2026 Loading” written alongside them. 👟🏆
