At least 15 commercial flights across Europe were forced to divert or make precautionary landings today after bomb threats, authorities and media report. France confirmed Aer Lingus EI-DEH from Dublin to Rome landed at the military base at Évreux. The Guardian tally lists 15 affected services including Ryanair FR1730 London Stansted to Sofia diverted to Plovdiv, LOT LO235 Warsaw to Brussels, WizzAir W46387 Milan Malpensa to Warsaw diverted to Vienna, FinnAir AY1761 Helsinki to Rome Fiumicino, and multiple Ryanair and Aegean services into Milan Malpensa and Bucharest. Times for several diversions are recorded in the Guardian summary, for example EI-DEH at 09:55 to 10:25, FR1730 at 10:45, and W43064 at 11:50. The wave of threats follows a series of hoax threats across Europe earlier this week, prompting searches and precautionary landings at multiple airports. Authorities conducted searches after the diversions and investigations are under way into the origin of the threats.
