Malcolm Offord, a senior Reform UK figure, said Anas Sarwar approached him at Paisley Town Hall at the start of the election campaign and told him "we need to work together, Reform and Labour, to remove the SNP." Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar angrily denied the allegation and called Offord's account "a desperate lie from a desperate man." The claim appeared in national coverage during the campaign and Labour has rejected any suggestion of cooperation with Reform.
