The Chicago Bears selected Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman with the No. 25 overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Thieneman entered the draft after a 2025 highlight season at Oregon and projects as a versatile safety WHO can cover receivers and support the run. The pick gives Chicago a first-round defensive back to bolster its secondary and provide immediate competition for a starting role.

No. 25: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon I personally didn’t think Thieneman was a Round 1 caliber player, but given how the Bears talked about their secondary and what they wanted, he does fit. A true post safety who can play from depth. Would’ve loved EMW here though
