Nickeil Alexander-Walker won the 2025-26 NBA Most Improved Player award after a breakout season with the Atlanta Hawks. Alexander-Walker increased his scoring from 9.4 to 20.8 points per game while posting a career-best 61.0 percent true shooting and improving his assist percentage and turnover percentage. Atlanta became the first franchise with consecutive Most Improved Player winners after Dyson Daniels took the award last season. Alexander-Walker’s jump to efficient, high-volume scoring gives the Hawks a dependable secondary scorer and reshapes their rotation heading into next season.
