2026 NFL Draft Round 1 grades, Rams get a C for Ty Simpson pick
The Los Angeles Rams selected quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 13 in the 2026 NFL Draft and received a C grade for the pick. Fernando Mendoza went No. 1 overall, Jeremiyah Love headed to the Arizona Cardinals, and the Philadelphia Eagles used a first-round pick on USC wide receiver Makai Lemon. The C grade signals evaluators viewed Simpson as questionable value at No. 13 and highlights the Rams' decision to prioritize adding a quarterback. This matters because the pick reshapes Los Angeles' quarterback outlook and leaves commentators debating draft value versus team need.

ND fan; watch every game He’s damn near as good as Love. Easily could have been a top 15 pick
How high we had to pick him, a B. But given their situation and the fact that if they traded down, they would miss this dude. I give is a sold A, if not A+ for maximizing their situation. I love this pick.
That's a wrap on the first round of the 2026 NFL draft 🏈 Who came out on top?
So these are grades for the players? Otherwise why would Cleveland get a B+ for moving down 3, getting extra picks, and the player they wanted while KC gets an A for a player they would have gotten if they stood pat and not given the Browns two mid-round picks? Start making sense.

How can the Rams get anything higher than an F+?
