Istanbul Park to return to Formula 1 calendar in 2027

Formula 1 confirmed the Turkish Grand Prix will return to Istanbul Park from 2027 under a five-year deal running through 2031, the Turkish presidency said. The agreement secures at least five consecutive seasons at the 14-turn circuit outside Istanbul beginning in 2027. Istanbul Park's famous multi-apex Turn Eight and mix of high-speed and technical sections will reintroduce a distinctive challenge for drivers and add variety to the championship calendar.

In practice I imagine it'll only replace Zandvoort on the F1A calendar, but Percy makes a good point: Istanbul Park would be a much better place for F2 than Baku or Jeddah. Baku in particular is reliably crash strewn, and usually expensively too.
