Eagles acquire Jonathan Greenard from Vikings
The Philadelphia Eagles traded two third-round picks, including No. 98 overall and a 2027 third-rounder, to the Minnesota Vikings for veteran edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, and Philadelphia also received pick No. 244. The Eagles signed Greenard to a $100 million contract extension to lock in his pass-rush role. Greenard recorded 25.5 sacks over the past three seasons and posted a 23.5 percent pass-rush win rate last year, giving Philadelphia a proven edge rusher to replace Jaelan Phillips after Phillips departed in free agency.
Trading Jonathan Greenard to the Eagles will save the #Vikings $12.25 million in salary cap space this year, and $22.3 million in cap space in 2027, while the edge rusher gets the raise from the Eagles he'd sought from the Vikings.
Absolutely ridiculous they weren't willing to give him that raise. That's barely more than he was already making. Plus, it was phrased as an extension -- so did the Eagles even change the next two years of his deal?
I hope the Vikings get a real GM soon, cause Brzezinski doesn’t seem like the guy
