The Philadelphia Phillies fired manager Rob Thomson after the team opened 9-19 this season and named bench coach Don Mattingly interim manager. The organization announced Mattingly will serve as interim through the 2026 season, promoted Dusty Wathan to bench coach, and installed Anthony Contreras as third-base coach.
