Blake Lively attends Met Gala hours after settling 'It Ends With US' lawsuit

moviesMay 5, 2026222,513

Blake Lively walked the Met Gala red carpet hours after she and Justin Baldoni reached a settlement ending their legal dispute over the 2024 film It Ends With US. Lively had sued Baldoni, accusing him of conspiring with publicists to damage her reputation during the film’s contentious production. The settlement, announced Monday, formally ends that lawsuit and removes a legal cloud tied to the movie. Lively’s Met Gala appearance signals she will continue public promotion as the film moves forward.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have settled her workplace sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit two weeks before it was set to go to trial. I’m relieved we don’t have to do Depp v. Heard again and I’m glad that her suit exposed a Hollywood smear machine that also influences politics and beyond.

oh thank god, I cannot see another picture of that man's smug face

I am not a Blake Lively fan, but the grossness of that man made me cheer for her.

I had never heard of Justin Baldoni and I hope to never see his name again.

but lucky for us we now know the level of Gross Creep of everyone who seeks out his crisi pr firm www.nytimes.com/2026/05/01/n...

I’m glad that we don’t have to see streamers give surface level commentary on what was likely to be a complex trial with many competing biases at play. It’d be Depp v Heard all over again, but with an emboldened anti-women ecosystem.

I really hated that movie. He was incredibly creepy. I wasn’t at all surprised when their conflict IRL came to light. It was like he made it so he could play himself IRL.

I never got past the legal standard that as an ‘independent contractor’ she lacked the power imbalance to be sexually harassed…

More important than the Lively/Baldoni smear campaign, was the underlying sexual harassment -which a judge threw out, deciding she wasn't an employee (?)- a blow for all preyed upon actors. Baldoni was the producer, director, & costar -showing up alone with new nude scenes he insisted they rehearse

Just in time for Met Gala. Who needs billionaires influencing anything.

Oh good. Hopefully I can hear less of this on my obligated listening to Candace Owens, who sided with Baldoni the entire time because she always sides with creepy dudes. Her work is the subject of my podcast. Celebrity bullshit is always bleh. Glad its over...I hope.

and all that for a bad movie, that felt like an after school special by Lifetime, lol

Baldoni hired a PR company to smear Lively after her complaint. Gee, I wonder why?

Now all we need to do is ensure that Justin Baldoni never works again, so no other women have to go through this.

Sick of rich folk just getting richer. Just another one that definitely fits into the WHO CARES category.

The one thing we don't get to see now is the veredictum juris. Trying legal cases in court, for its faults, is far more reliable than trying them in social media.

Meanwhile they could have done good stuff for Gaza but that requires courage and morality.

Millie, or Mills if we’re friends3

I’m a little sad she didn’t get to be vindicated. But I hope she’s pleased by the outcome. I read the texts she submitted, the ones where he’s clearly planning to destroy her career and gleefully cheers the fake bad press he paid to have planted. 🚩🚩🚩🚩 he’s every bit the abuser in his film

She had all her claim thrown out. She will never work again. She is a bully and Ryan is too. I hope they paid dearly for her disgusting ego trip.
