Norway crown princess's son found guilty of rape
An Oslo court found Marius Borg Høiby, 29, the son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, guilty of two counts of rape and sentenced him to four years in prison. The court also convicted him of domestic violence and additional offences and acquitted him on other counts he faced. The case involves a close member of the royal family and is notable because it demonstrates Norway's legal system prosecuting and punishing high-profile individuals, a development likely to affect public confidence in the monarchy.

Refreshing to know other countries actually hold their rapist accountable
He should be in there for life
Royalty is such bullshit! It doesn't come wrapped, people!!💩
I mean, we should have known. look at him. that's the picture you find in the dictionary next to "rapist".
What a joke. Norwegian "prisons" are four-star hotels. Brevik killed 77 and he has a four room suite including a gym and a playstation..
Curious to see what his prison cell looks like

By the same metric, Prince Andrew and Donald Trump would get multiple consecutive life sentences. But the rich and powerful have de facto immunity from prosecution in the UK and US. Brits and Americans like it that way, cos their royals and the rich are obviously better people than the hoi polloi.
Could something like this happen in the US of today for the absolute elite - or would they just getting pardoned, facing no accountability? 🫣
Wow. Shameful for the royal family but at least Norway doesn’t let the rich and powerful get away with committing heinous crimes. The USA could learn some lessons from Norway.
It's nice to know that somewhere in the world they know how to punish criminals, no matter how rich or privileged. The U.S. isn't one of them.
Good. It's always good when Nepobabies get served justice.
4 years!? For destroying a woman's life???
Barron T., see this? Don't be like your father.
