BBC: Russia ran arson campaign targeting the UK prime minister
A BBC investigation found Russian operatives ran an online sabotage campaign that organized arson attacks on Prime Minister Keir Starmer's family home and other properties linked to him. The operatives created fake far-right and Muslim groups and recruited young men, including Ukrainians, to carry out arson and vandalism under direction from handlers in Russia. Figures such as far-right activist Tommy Robinson amplified false motives for the attacks that were spread by Russia-based accounts. The campaign demonstrates Moscow using covert influence and sabotage to inflame UK social divisions and directly threaten the country's political leadership, raising urgent national-security and law-enforcement questions.
One detail in this fascinating BBC investigation into the Russia-instigated attack on Keir Starmer's home is the way it shows, in passing but very clearly, that Tommy Robinson is to all intents and purposes a Russian asset. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
When are people going to get it through their heads that Russia is trying to ruin all liberal democracies and wealthy fascists in almost all our democracies are helping them.
Tommy Robinson is a Russian asset, but apparently it's considered rude to point out that people cheering on a Putin tool because they think he's good for the UK may not have thought things through.
Should be sharing a cell with Gill.
Can someone please explain how mutil citizenship holding Yaxley-Lennon gets entry to the UK when a child radicalisation and sex trafficking victim (Shamima Begum) is made stateless and can't return to her native country.
The Russian embassy said: "We reject any attempt to associate Russia or its foreign ministry with unlawful activities." ... um, they don't get to do that, they can deny it if they like, but facts aren't open to being rejected and even moreso they have no say in rejecting a journalist's "attempt".
Why UK intelligence didn't stop him before is beyond me. Article from 2020 ⬇️ bylinetimes.com/2020/02/23/r...
So to is Boris Johnson and half the Tory party, and the biggest Russian asset of them all Farage. And considering how much air time the BBC has given this twat over the years, it is fair to say they are also an asset or puppet of Putin!.
Something which has come as a complete surprise to literally nobody…. 🤷🏻♂️
A ‘village idiot’ became the ‘Russian useful idiot’
That will get some well known people heading to the airport.
don't you have to have value to be considered an asset?
Russian asset, you say? Hmmmm
This all added to destroying the public’s perception of the Prime Minister. The talk of Ukraine rent boys was everywhere.
Jezz, who would’a though (insert expansive eye roll).
Why didn't everybody attack Johnson, Truss,Sunak et al?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... So Tommy Robinson gets arrested on his way back from Russia We know Nigel Farage's views on Putin Now Russia is behind the attacks last year on PM's property Do you ever wonder if Russia is behind all the division we have seen in our society since Brexit? Because I do
Banks magicked up £8 million for the multiple illegal Leave EU campaigns. Johnson stopped the investigation into where he got those Roubles 🤷♂️ Farage worked for Russian TV, spoke up in the EU parliament in defence of Putin’s Invasion of Crimea and his mate is doing 10 years for taking Russian bribes.
People too self absorbed to understand this !
Russia have been conducting anti UK action for years...
