Ukrainian drones strike Kapotnya oil refinery in Moscow
Ukrainian drones have hit the Moscow oil refinery. It’s burning. This is a big one - the refinery provides 40% of fuel for Moscow and the wider oblast. #explodey
One of Russia’s largest fuel retailers Tatneft has just announced fuel rationing across its entire network. This is huge. The whole country is now facing shortages.
Oh, well, shit happens. I'm sure people in Moscow do not mind standing a few hours or days in line for there 20l fuel ration, why should they have it different then in other parts of the country? They love Putin? Surely nothing to worry about?
Come on Russia, it’s time to warm up the orchestra.
Effective targeting versus vicious lashing out against civilian targets. Putin’s hand is getting weaker and weaker.
russia are clearly on the ropes. A relatively small country with just over half the population of the UK have nearly beaten them while redefining modern combat on all fronts💥 Wait for Comrade Trump to wade in (yet again) and say Ukraine should give russia what it wants "for peace"🤡🤬
The drones that struck the Moscow oil refinery today carried the message: “The Lavra will stand for centuries! Moscow will fall!”
Russia Kinda Explains Everything, In A Weird Way, If One Is Paranoid.
For all that Russia has done, Ukraine has to hit big (I so wish it wasn’t needed, sad sad times)
Russia targets culture and history. Ukraine makes strategic choices.
It wasn't enough for Putin to repeatedly attack hospitals, apartment buildings, civilians. His most recent strikes went for ancient religious and cultural cornerstones of Ukraine. Too many lives lost, cities laid to ruin, all for the sociopathy and vanity of one evil man.
These #explodeys are the bestest. :) Please more of that - the more the war gets carried into Russian territory the faster this shit might end.
Hit the Oligarchs where if hurts them most! 🇺🇦
I love this for Russia.
7 miles from the Kremlin. There must a a lot of tight sphincters in Moscow this morning.
As my generation has heard the words. BURN BABY BURN!! My their war infrastructure all burn and their leaders
Yeah but now he's beaten Iran Trump can now help the Ukraine situation 👍
Only 15 km from Kremlin. They say.
I wanted to check for news about this drone strike, so I did a search, and the top results were... So yeah, Ukraine is successfully targeting Russia's oil infrastructure. #Ukraine #Russia #War #News
Now those are some carbon emissions I can get behind
I’m calling it, Russia is going to surrender to Ukraine.
Fantastic Eff Russia Eff baby killer Putin
Good. Maybe if the people suffer enough, Putin will be overthrown.
Av some more of that putrid 🤣👍 #MuchoExplodey lol
What about Moscow defences? 🤔
All he has to do is stop bombing Ukraine.
Take them all the way down. Putin will end up like Hitler but is planning a different outcome for everyone else
Why do you use the jokey hashtag for when Ukraine hits Russia and not for any other posts? Why doesn't it get used when Iran hits Israel for example? I get Russia is the aggressor, but ordinary Russian lives are effected too. Seems a bit crass.
Meanwhile the free world is going with wind and solar. Before long #oil will be for fixing squeaks.
As Putin would say: "Работайте, братья" ("Get to work, brothers"). 🇺🇦🇷🇺 Dozens of Ukrainian kamikaze drones are swarming Moscow's skies. Despite more than 300 layered air defense systems, Moscow's largest oil refinery has reportedly been hit.
I can’t even tell you how happy it makes me that ruzzians, especially Moscow ruzzians, are now having to live in the fear Ukrainians have had to live with since 2022.
trump will not be happy about the boss being targetted.
Slava Ukrainii, every day in every way Ukraine gets stronger. The KGB rat in his bunker is desperate.
It is a monumental task ... The Mayor of Moscow reported that dozens of drones were shot down. Eyewitnesses reported air defense activity in Pavlovsky Posad, near Moscow; one drone was shot down over the town. Air defense activity targeting drones was also heard in Ramenskoye and Zhukovsky.
Cutting off RuZZia’s logistics is next level. Makes it easier for RuZZian soldiers to realize they’re on their own in Ukraine ready to surrender 😈
. Skies ? Streets ! .
Do it til he's gone
The endgame compliments to the Ukrainian people!!
🔥🛢️ Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow Oil Refinery today, with a fire currently burning at the facility following the attack. It processing capacity is approximately 11.6 million tonnes of petroleum products per year. The facility is estimated to supply around 40% of the fuel consumed in Moscow
/2. The moment strike drone hits the Moscow Oil Refinery.
Slowly and then all at once.
Here's hoping the smoke can be seen from downtown Moscow
Processing capacity *was* 11.6 million tonnes. They ain't getting that back. Not without moving air defence from Putin's datcha. Even then...
Usually, The burning torch is a sign that a problem occur on the process, the massive smoke on the back might be related to.
Very hard to know how long it will take to repair. When I worked on a refinery, we had a reactor vessel about a meter in each dimension, cost a million dollars and took three years to make. If that was hit, plant would be out for years but most of the pipes would be much easier.
Another successful interception of a 🇺🇦 drone by 🇷🇺 air defense using one oil refinery to hit it out of the sky
still operating unfortunately.. many more drones needed to obliterate it!
Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery early June 16, triggering a major fire and heavy smoke. The facility processes about 12.8 million tonnes of oil per year and supplies roughly 35-40% of fuel consumed in Moscow and the surrounding region. #Russia
I don’t think those fuel lines are going to get shorter any time soon.
So they are using refineries to intercept drones, now?
Great reminder for me to donate to Ukraine through the U24 app.
For a massive industrial fire of this height (~30 to 40 meters), the distance where the radiant heat becomes completely unapproachable 1. specialized protective gear — high-intensity zone: 30 to 50 meters from base of fire column 2. standard clothing: 70 to 100 meters, depending on wind direction.
Refineries are huge but luckily you cripple them if you hit the few crucial points that actually keep it going.
And that's only the beginning!
bring back chariots in Moscow just like in the good old days
Hopefully it will not be long before we see traffic queues at Moscow fuel stations 🇺🇦🇬🇧
Things are going to get very ugly in russia 👍
Another 2-3 strikes wouldn't go amiss.
Don't understand one word of the lyrics. Don't need to. That's hilarious!
Very nice. Sad but necessary.
Russians need to face reality. They started this war hoping that, far behind the frontline, they would be safe from it, but today the Moscow oil refinery is burning and nowhere is safe anymore 🔥
For russisn civilians the main risk is a pantsir hitting your apartment. Unless you work in an ammunition factory or a refinery of course.
Ukrainian’s did not start the war, but they have the hearts to finish it.
I won't be happy until I see the Kremlin burning.
Oh please put a drone right in the middle of the MIBC. Fly it through the front door of the Federation Towers. No need to explode - just land it in the foyer with a message on the side: “Leave Ukraine, Now! Or the next one will be Live” Follow the money.
Russians, unfortunately, are still suffering only 1/1000th of what they’ve inflicted on Ukraine for years. But yes, this bombing campaign inside Russia is heartening
They need to accept defeat, quit Ukraine and deliver Putin to the Hague: but they wont.
🇺🇦😎 Zelensky: This time, Ukrainian long-range weapons were felt in the Moscow region. An oil refinery was hit at a distance of 500 kilometers. Russia must be forced to end the war against our people.
Hahahaha, it’s currently raining in Moscow. Hope the Kremlin and St Basils get a nice oily black rinse!
Time for Moscow people to understand why they have this strange oil rain.
I’m not sure if Putin is getting the message yet. The Ukrainian strikes on Moscow are going to get more intense and more targeted towards Putin’s regime leaders. It’s going to be an ugly summer in Moscow.
Looks like it had a drone net. It didn't help.
A Ukrainian drone dives lazily through Moscow skies to strike an oil refinery in the SE of the Russian capital earlier on June 16. The refinery, 16km from the Kremlin, provides a large proportion of Moscow and its region's fuel needs, Ukrainian news sources say. Russia's fuel crisis set to worsen.
Where were the Russian defences? It feels like someone could've taken the drone out with a 22. Are the Russians that screwed that they're not even protecting their own airspace?
Slow & steady wins the race 😁
It feels like they’re shooting fish in a barrel at this stage
Over 60 drones attacked Moscow, with no casualties reported, according to BBC Russian Service. Drones struck Moscow's outskirts, causing near chaos, while a previous attack left 12 injured. Now, an oil refinery takes center stage in this escalating conflict. 1/6
Moscow officials reported that over 60 drones were intercepted early Tuesday morning, aimed at the capital. The Mayor stated that emergency services are responding, though details remain sparse. 2/6
Ukraine was invaded by Russia They are defending their freedom against an authoritarian dictatorship If Putin's plan to eliminate Ukraine was stopped and russia left Ukraine in peace none of this would be happening
🔥 While Kyiv was under a massive attack, fires were reported in Tula and the Moscow region At night in Tula, Russia, witnesses reported a major fire. The governor complained that drones had targeted commercial facilities.
A column of smoke was also spotted in the city of Reutov in the Moscow region. The causes were not officially specified, but witnesses enthusiastically talked about drones and explosions.
He should count his lucky stars the Ukrainian military does not treat invaders as the orcs treat the invaded.
Ah! Hitting the ammo manufacturing zones! Nice work!
Burn Russia Burn! Good Bless Ukraine. I'm so sorry America abandoned you. Most of the U.Sm loves and supports you. Slava Ukraini
🔥 The Moscow Refinery hit: a strike at the heart of the enemy's fuel system The Ukrainian defense forces have launched an attack on the Moscow Refinery - the largest refinery in the Russian capital, located just 15 km from the Kremlin. 1/3
Why is this critical for Russia? ▪️ 70% of Moscow and the Moscow region's gasoline needs were covered by this refinery. ▪️ Up to 40% of the entire fuel market in the aggressor's capital was supplied by this refinery. 2/3
You're the 1st one I seen. Do you know who Im talking about with @cpusfood.nafoeverywhere.org he controls the Article 5 post and it says its offline. I checked his page and it says last post was 8 mo ago. Weird!
