M5.6 earthquake hits 11 km north of Redwood Valley, California
A massive magnitude 7.1 earthquake has struck Venezuela, with strong shaking felt in Caracas, the country’s capital. Videos are emerging of buildings coming down or sustaining significant damage.
Y'all if this happens to you do not stand there filming. Stand under a door frame or an interior bathroom where things are less likely to land on you.
There was a second one right after. 7.5
I'm incredibly impressed by dude's TV setup after smth like that
USGS calling it a 7.5 Many buildings have collapsed.
And a 6.9 in Japan. The ring of fire is activating
The water is retreating at the shore too. There are tsunami coming.
These videos are triggering for me. I was in Nepal in 2015 when they had their 7.8 and I will never be over it.
Still watching Brazil v Scotland. TV holding on!!
This is a terrible disaster. Magnitude 7.5 earthquake in Venezuela, minutes after another M7.2. More than half a million people exposed to “severe or violent” shaking, and best estimates suggesting tens of thousands may have been killed earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/...
And what I’m reporting there is only calculated from the second earthquake, situation likely (much) worse bsky.app/profile/morg...
Damn…I think there was a 5+ in California today and another 5+ in Japan. It’s like the whole earth is shaking. I’ve been in a 7…7.5 is major! I am an atheist, but still my prayers go out to them
BIGGER EARTHQUAKE NOW M 7.5 - Venezuela about 20 km from and 45 minutes after M 7.1 - Venezuela EARTHQUAKE M 6.9 - offshore Kuji, Japan M5.6 California - Another M2.8 Redwood Valley after all that. Aftershocks x45.
2/ USGS has something called significant earthquakes for rare or large earthquakes. There are currently 19 listed in the past 30 days. Three of those just happened, they're always highlighted in red among the normies. Looking at the data and see two of the 19 are meteorite SONIC BOOMS! 😃
I hope none set off the faults along the Wasatch front in Utah or Yellowstone. Yikes
