Drone strike hits Sumy gas station, four injured

newsJun 25, 202619881

A Russian drone struck a gas station on the outskirts of Sumy on June 25, injuring four civilians and damaging fuel pumps and nearby vehicles, Sumy Oblast authorities said. The attack followed an overnight wave of strikes across Sumy Oblast on June 24 that injured at least 15 people, including three children. Separately, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries have reduced Russian petrol output by about 25 percent in late June, prompting Moscow to open talks with Kazakhstan to import gasoline. The escalation of cross-border drone attacks has disrupted regional transport and air traffic, with Israel's EL AL temporarily suspending Tel Aviv-Moscow flights this week because of Russian airspace disruptions.
