Mets fire manager Carlos Mendoza; Andy Green named interim manager

The Mets fired Carlos Mendoza and on the one hand, it sucks for him not having a job anymore especially in this economy but on the bright side, he doesn’t have to watch the Mets play baseball anymore.

Mets announce that they have fired Carlos Mendoza and will have Andy Green manage in the interim.

I feel bad for Howie Rose. Here's a guy who grew up a #Mets fan, got to live his dream of being a broadcaster for the team he loved. He has been loyal to this franchise through thick and thin for nearly 40 years, beloved by fans. He's riding off into retirement - and this is the thanks he gets.

I want to wish Carlos Mendoza the best of luck in his future endeavors. Mendy happens to be a neighbor of mine & is a class individual. I don't think most of this was Carlos Mendoza's fault. But the #Mets were horrible for a full calendar year, and when that's true, there are no unjust dismissals. Now get to work on fixing the larger problems.
