Independence Day weekend, America marks its 250th birthday
An interesting piece of this statement is that Kaine's spox said he attended the America 250 event, but it was a *Freedom* 250 event, which is different. America 250 is a nonprofit org, Freedom 250 is a public-private partnership established by Trump to do stuff like the great american state fair.
Hard to accept at face value that Kaine or his staff didn't pay attention to which entity sponsored an event, especially once he was there, took in who was there, the sponsorship b.s. He could have left and didn't. Speaks volumes.
On one hand, I'll admit that I was confused about this until a couple of weeks ago. On the other hand, I am not a Senator or his staff.
FWIW, America 250 is also a public-private partnership. It functions as the nonprofit arm of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission created by Congress (for fundraising, partnerships, etc.)
Well now you’ve gotten me curious wtf he was there for. 🤨
I wonder if it was misrepresented to him/his team, or if they are misrepresenting it to us?
trump doesn't depend on stupid people. he creates confusion and chaos by policy to confuse the notstupid. which...is something of a tell.
