Disability Pride Month 2026 launches, theme 'The World Works Better With Us'
Happy Disability Pride Month to all my friends, and individuals who have a form of disability whether it be physical, neurological, etc. There is a lot going on with the disability community at this very moment in our country & the world. But know that you are absolutely worth it.
You can still be the artisan, dancer, musician, gardener of this world Don't let some brain worm guy, or anyone for that matter dictate what you can and can't do - all because you have a disability It's just another journey, another mountain to climb, another ocean to swim
Woke up to so many notifications this morning 😱🥹💜 For Disability Pride Month I am raising money for the @autisticadvocacy.org and many more donation link: tilt.fyi/9ujXiDqQlZ If ya want to check out my other content here's my Carrd: nyyxveil.carrd.co
Oh wow. So I got everything except red as an undiagnosed “high-functioning” autistic person with anxiety and PTSD. Yay I guess? 🤣
Aw yeah, now I get to be proud of being queer *and* disabled! I was gonna do Wrath Month, but this sounds better.
oh this is a pretty cool flag, i dig it. the diagonal is a really nice indicator of how we have to navigate life through a different path
Not only is it representative, it's sick as hell
I gotta say the disability pride flag might be one of the best to ever do it. Literally what a good flag
Happy Disability Pride Month! I've always felt like I wasn't disabled or that I was somehow claiming a tag I didn't deserved or whatever because there is always worse than my condition. But this year is the year I'm starting to feel more at peace with it. ♥
Happy disability pride month everyone! While not disabled myself, my partner of 15 years is. Its been an uphill battle for both of us, and this year we're finally at a place where things are looking up. He streams on twitch almost daily! Any support is appreciated! Twitch.tv/BoonGroovyPuppet
This is the month when i ask everyone to make time to watch Crip Camp, because the director once said something nice about me. No just kidding, because it’s a great film that everyone can relate to in some level. And because our disabled community is important, and we really need your solidarity.
I'm sitting here in an emotional state seeing all the stories being told and shared by so many people from all walks of life. Whether the disability journey is new, or ongoing. This. This is why stories matter. By sharing your story; it helps others to not be afraid or be alone with their struggles
Happy Disability Pride Month! In case you don’t know I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD. It’s both a blessing and a curse for me but it’s what make me… ME!!
As I sit here working on things - I see you. I hear your stories of disability, and your ongoing disability journey I am giving you all a big squishy hug 💜
I am bisexual, demisexual, asexual, transgender, and disabled We out here even if you can’t tell cause we’re silly hot girls online that make it so we less visible Okay byeeee
All colours baby! (Including black; I have been mistreated by ableist violence) Always love this month when it rolls around. Being disabled has shaped who I am from birth and I would not be the person nor artist I am without it. Me without disability does not exist, and I deserve to take up space.
my lil personal checklist: fibromyalgia (so bad i got diagnosed at *16*), pcos, severe adhd/depression/mild bipolar, hidradenitis supurrativa, undiagnosed mild autism, moderate ptsd and cptsd, anger at how my disabled father was treated and killed there's other stuff but those are the major ones
Hey guys! I know we all like to joke about July being pride 2.0 / Wrath month, but let's also remember it's disability pride month too! Many of us are both LGBTQ+ and live with disabilities and it's more important than ever that both groups stick together and support each other!
Whether you are diagnosed or not, whether it is physical or mental disability, even if your disability isn't 'visible' to others, you deserve the same rights as anyone else. Equity not equality!
My birthday month also being disability pride month has been one of my favorite little things ever since I learned of it. 🕺🏻 Here, queer, joint pain moderate to severe and all that. 😆
If anything the disabled should get to have some wrath, as a treat
Which makes it even more important to remember to also wear a mask when attending pride parades and just in general!! Protect your community from being further disabled 💜 AIDS/HIV was used to harm the community, covid is being used the same way. Refuse the oppression 🏳️🌈
For disability pride month I'd like the rest of the autistic trans women to think of that part of themselves in ways other than "the brain type that makes girls hot in the reductive way I agree with" for a sec!!!! Do not repeat Asperger's move! "I'm valuable in this way instead" is a trap!!!!
Nobody: Why does yoour mom let you have TWO Pride?? Me, a queer disabled trans slime on the internet:
The best month to be angry and revindicate how little to no adaptation and support disabled people have.
I lowkey think us disabled folks have the best pride flag. Happy Disability Pride Month, everyone! It's time to be seen and be loud! We are valid just as we are!

I'm running a peak Liefeld-themed FIST one-shot that's going to be exactly what it sounds like 😌
All on days I can’t play! Please let me live vicariously through you on my work breaks!
Candace is awesome and you should apply!
It's Disability Pride Month❤️ So, I'm Sam I have cerebral palsy so I'll lose a fight with some shoe laces. Autism. I'll remember some mundane thing you said in passing. Then 3 years later with the b@lls to finally talk I'll answer, while u look confused. And epilepsy But I'm alright I suppose.🙂
The best Sam there is. The others are imposters. 🫶🏻
Oh Sam, despite all your challenges, you're still the 🐐 you've always been 😉
Sam's a good lad. Got a lot going on and still stays a decent force of light in these times. I don't speak on mine much, but.. I'm Stu. Only half of my heart works and I'm on stage 3 of advanced liver cirrhosis. Got a blend of tism and agoraphobia. I'll keep going till the wheels come off.
Its Disability Pride Month 💜 I'm Shy I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, GAD, GERD and most likely the 'tism My sleep schedule is whack and I have anxiety and back attack
Happy Disability Pride Month! ♿️✨ If you want more beautifully designed disabled OCs on your feed, check out this starter pack! go.bsky.app/9NvnnLb (Plenty of spots are still open too, just comment and introduce a few of your disabled OCs. More details the better!)
These are some of my disabled OCs from my WIP books Lucardis can only walk short distances after she was wounded in an attack on the royal family and uses her mechanical stag for longer distances and difficult terrain Sophia was born without parts of her leg and uses a walking stick
Rhys, my special guy! ❤️ He's my Cyberpunk RED character (medtech), born with an immuno-deficiency which lead to infections requiring the replacement of both arms and one eye. His reliance on expensive machinery is inspired by my experience as a T1 diabetic. He's sarcastic on the surface but v sweet~
😌 like many things in art, this is smthing I'm always trying 2 push myself on. But I got a couple in my little batch of babies.
July is #DisabilityPrideMonth I was born with visual impairment. This month I am going to ask all accounts to use alt text. If you don’t, you don’t really believe in #democracy. I will be calling out big follower accounts who do not use alt text. I will praise and SO those who do. #SheShed
We post so many memes/photos that we can see. Think about the visually impaired who have no idea what you are posting. It just takes a few moments to add text to each meme/photo. My husband was also born visually impaired and not enjoying a “visual” addition to a post is maddening. Think about that.
It might be helpful to explain how to use alt text. Many people, myself included, do not know how.
