England midfielder Jordan Henderson was stretchered off after injuring his arm while celebrating England’s 3-2 last-16 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium. Teammates had gathered with travelling fans singing Oasis’s "Wonderwall" when Henderson attempted to jump over an advertising hoarding and fell, appearing to be in significant pain on the far side of the hoardings. Medics attended as Dan Burn and others signalled for help, Henderson received oxygen on the pitch and teammates formed a huddle as he was carried away on a stretcher. Harry Kane said in a post-match comment, "Jordan just fell over there, I think he's okay, just something to do with his arm," while Jude Bellingham said Henderson was "in a bit of bother" but that the medical team had things under control. England will now face Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals next week.
